A tooth implant is anchored into the jawbone with a strong metal post. It doesn’t wiggle around like dentures, and unlike a dental bridge, it protects healthy jawbone and prohibits bone recession. After the post is completely enmeshed with the jawbone, the supporting device (called an abutment) and beautiful crown are solidly attached to the post. Some patients are able to undergo all three parts of the treatment at once.
